Man wounded in armed robbery in Fort Worth, police say

The victim, who was taken to a hospital, was uncooperative, police say.

One man was shot in the upper right leg late Sunday in what a police report said was a robbery.

Officers responding to a shooting call in the 1100 block of East Seminary Drive at 11:54 p.m. came upon a 26-year-old man with a gunshot wound, said police spokesman Daniel Segura.

The man was taken to a hospital from the location near Fair Park Boulevard in southeast Fort Worth, Segura said.

But he was not taken in an ambulance, said MedStar spokesman Matt Zavadsky. MedStar was called to 4200 Fair Park Boulevard just before midnight, where a patient refused transport, Zavadsky said.

“It was a minor gunshot injury with no bleeding to the right lateral lower extremity, his thigh,” Zavadsky said. “It could have been from a B-B gun, a small-caliber or from a great distance.”

Police were unable to get a description of the shooter, Segura said.

“The victim was not very cooperative with officers during the investigation; no other details [are known] as of now,” Segura said.
