A 22-year-old employee of a northeast Fort Worth game room was shot during a robbery early Monday with a gun that had been reported stolen less than an hour earlier in the southeast part of the city, police said.

The shooting was reported about 3:10 a.m. at the Asian Market game room, 3835 Chesser Boyer Road, off North Beach Street on the Haltom City border, police said.

The employee was confronted by three robbers, and investigators think he was shot with a .357 Magnum revolver that was stolen about 2:30 a.m. at Lenah’s Smoke Shop, 5169 Wichita St., in southeast Fort Worth.

The employee, who was not identified, was in stable condition Monday at a hospital.

He was armed with a .380-caliber Kel-Tec pistol and “struggled with two of the suspects,” said Cpl. Tracey Knight, a police spokeswoman.

The three men fled with the Kel-Tec and the employee’s cellphone, Knight said.

In the earlier smoke shop robbery, one of the three men brandished a dark-colored semiautomatic pistol. They got away with the Smith & Wesson .357 Magnum and cash, Knight said.

The three robbers were described as Hispanic, all about 18-25.

One was 5-feet-5, 140 to 160 pounds and wore a short-sleeve shirt, bluejeans and white high-top shoes.

The man with the dark semiautomatic handgun was about 5-feet-6 to 5-feet-10, 140 to 170 pounds and wore a red-black-and-white hooded sweatshirt.

The man who fired the stolen revolver was nearly 6 feet tall, 140 to 170 pounds and wore a blue long-sleeve sweatshirt and red gym shorts, police said.
