SOUTHLAKE -- Spider-Man’s accomplice could be Spider-Woman, authorities said Wednesday.
Two robbers wearing Spider-Man masks took an undisclosed amount of money on Friday morning from Bank of America, police said.Preliminary reports indicated that the two robbers were men. But after reviewing bank surveillance camera photos this week, the FBI believes one of the suspects is female.The holdup happened about 9:30 a.m. Friday at the Bank of America in the 2000 block of West Southlake Boulevard.The suspects drove a dark colored minivan up to the front of the bank and two got out, police said.Bank employees told police that bandits entered wearing “Spider-Man” masks, one jumped on the counter while the other robber controlled the employees and customers with a handgun.They demanded money and took the money from a teller, police said. The money was placed in a bag that the web-slingers had taken in with them, police said.After taking the money, the bandits fled the bank and got into the minivan which had a rear passenger window broken out and it was covered by a red tarp or blanket, police said.Anyone with information should contact Southlake police at 817-748-8127.DOMINGO RAMIREZ JR. 817-390-7763
