'Best Santa Claus' held in sex case
NEW JERSEY -- A rare international alert seeking a man shown in dozens of child porn images quickly led to the arrest of a small-time actor who painted faces at children's parties and performed as "the best Santa Claus anyone has ever seen." Wayne Nelson Corliss, 58, told authorities he had sex with three boys in Thailand six years ago, an experience he described as "euphoria," a prosecutor said Thursday at Corliss' first court appearance. Corliss' arrest late Wednesday at his Union City apartment capped a two-day global manhunt. Corliss is charged with producing child pornography and could face 10 to 20 years in federal prison if convicted.

Study looks at unmarried mothers
WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Hispanic women born in the U.S. are more likely to have children out of wedlock than women who are immigrant Hispanics or non-Hispanics, according to an analysis released Thursday by Pew Hispanic Center. Half of all births to Hispanic women born in this country were to single mothers, according to Pew research. About 35 percent of immigrant Hispanic women who gave birth were unmarried, nearly equal to the rate for non-Hispanic women.
