The musical Ring of Fire -- The Music of Johnny Cash hit Broadway after the Oscar-winning movie Walk the Line, and also in a wave of "jukebox" musicals, so perhaps the timing wasn't right. After mostly negative reviews, it closed quickly. The creators have reworked it some, and the tour comes to town courtesy of Dallas Summer Musicals. It's not a straight-out bio-musical but rather a celebration of the Man in Black's songs.
