It never ceases to amaze how the current crop of Republicans are so tone deaf when it comes to commonsense issues. Who in this day and time would want to appear like they don’t care about equal pay for equal work? Who would go on TV and say that women are too busy to care about equal pay? And who would say women are more concerned with getting a job than being equally compensated for it? Herman Torres

Non-issues seem to dominate GOP failings. Phil Palmer
What this story obfuscates is that the U.S. Supreme Court ruled in Ledbetter’s case that in order to collect damages for discriminatory pay for her entire career she had to have filed suit within 180 days of being paid for that earlier work despite the fact that she didn’t know she wasn’t being paid equivalently until she decided to retire.
