hCheers: To the kind lady Samaritan who paid for our lunch at the Great Wall of China in Saginaw on Feb. 25. My mother, myself and my niece were so surprised when the owners’ daughter-in-law told us. Your kind gesture was greatly appreciated and unexpected. Thank you.

iJeers: To all the politicians who use God and Christianity in their ads to promote themselves. What happened to separation of church and state? I guess they don’t really believe in the Constitution, for our founding fathers were not all Christians. I find those ads offensive.
Never miss a local story.

hCheers: To the person in the white SUV who pulled over to the left shoulder to rescue a small gray dog running south on Texas 360 during rush-hour traffic on a Monday evening. Cheers to the people who slowed down until the little dog was out of the traffic.
