A man was was found dead early Monday after fire broke out in an east Arlington apartment complex.
Four children and 12 adults were displaced by the fire, which affected eight units at Cimarron Crossing Apartments at 2014 Remington Drive, said Lt. Lee Tovar, a spokesman for the Arlington Fire Department.
Crews were dispatched at 12:52 a.m. and could see flames and smoke while en route, Tovar said. Additional fire units were called to evacuate the complex and put out the fire.
American Red Cross volunteers were at the complex to assist victims, Tovar said.
The cause of the fire was under investigation. The name of the dead man had not been released by late Monday.
