A three-person show of works on paper opens at Artspace 111 from 5 to 8:30 p.m. Friday. In “Paper,” the artists use paper materials to record time and place. Janet Chaffee uses lace as a vehicle for personal histories. Jim Malone employs any number of marking-mediums — paint, pencil, maps, threads, wax and burning paper with a magnifying glass — for landscapes, while Kate Rivers cuts papers and reconfigures them into abstract collages.
