Leaks account for approximately a trillion gallons of water wasted in the United States each year. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) WaterSense program promotes its annual Fix a Leak Week the third week in March as part of its efforts to encourage Americans to use water efficiently.

The Water Utility Department and Keep Mansfield Beautiful Commission are giving Mansfield residents the opportunity to dispose of unwanted, bulky items free of charge from 7 a.m. to noon March 29 at R.L. Anderson Stadium, 1016 Magnolia St.

Mansfield Sunrise Rotary Club (2014 Chamber of Commerce Volunteer Organization of the Year) will be moving our meetings from its current location to Mansfield Methodist Medical Center. We will meet in the physicians’ conference room at the hospital beginning 7 a.m. March 6. Come visit us and discover ways to make a difference in our community and around the world. We would also like to thank First United Methodist Church for nine years of hospitality allowing us to meet in their facility.
