Jonathan Applequist recently celebrated the launch of the USS Fort Worth, a littoral combat ship he helped design for the U.S. Navy as the Lead Naval Architect for Gibbs & Cox. But long before he began designing these fast and versatile Navy ships, Jonathan’s first boat to design and build was “The Last Minute,” a cardboard boat in the early ‘90’s for River Legacy Foundation’s annual Cardboard Boat Regatta.Read more
