BEDFORD — Retired Trinity High School principal Andy Cargile won 59 percent of the vote to 37 percent for Steve Farco, president of Mason-Dallas, to win the Place 6 seat on the Hurst-Euless-Bedford school board.
Retiree Louis D. Marks, Jr., 63, withdrew from the race, supporting Farco for the seat, but still received 4 percent of the vote.
In Place 7, incumbent Mark Cyrier won with no opposition.
About 4.5 percent of the district’s 79,460 registered voters participated in the election.
