DALLAS — A man was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of killing a 20-year-old art institute student in September, police said.

The man, identified as Daniel Willyam, 26, was being held without bail at the Lew Sterrett Justice Center, police said in a statement.

Willyam is accused of killing Samantha Michelle Nance, who was found in her apartment in the 9000 block of Markville Drive on Sept. 11.

Nance had been stabbed to death with an unknown cutting tool, according to police.

She had been a student at the Art Institute of Dallas.

Online jail records did not show whether Willyam had obtained an attorney.
