Thanksgiving dinner tips

Central Market is talking turkey . . . and stuffing, and gravy, and pie. Tonight’s class, "The New Thanksgiving Table," at the Fort Worth store’s cooking school, will impart wisdom on the best ways to cook a tasty yet stress-free Thanksgiving meal. Cookbook author Diane Morgan will instruct students on how to make buttermilk-brined roasted turkey with applejack giblet gravy, sourdough stuffing with roasted chestnuts and apples, and more. Cowtown to Tinseltown

Sundance Square goes Hollywood beginning today for the third annual Lone Star International Film Festival. The event runs through Nov. 15. The festival features over 100 titles, beginning with The Scenesters, 7:30 tonight at the AMC Palace 8. Serious Moonlight, featuring Meg Ryan and Timothy Hutton, and the directorial debut of Cheryl Hines (Curb Your Enthusiasm), plays at 7:15 p.m. Thursday at the AMC Palace 2. Of all the entries, the film with the most buzz is The Messenger, starring Woody Harrelson. It plays at 7 p.m. Nov. 14 at the AMC Palace 2. The film won best screenplay and the Peace Film Award at the 2009 Berlin Film Festival. Tickets for the festival are available at the Norris Conference Center and the AMC Palace Lone Star box office.
