The name has changed at the Greek restaurant on North Beach Street.
It’s now Casablanca Greek Mediterranean Cuisine, with some new dishes and lower prices but mostly the same cooking and faces from the former Two Brothers Bistro.
One of the brothers is even still around. Peter Katzianis was hosting in the dining room the other day, helping introduce regular customers to the new owners, the Al-Noubani family.
Casablanca fixed one problem already: It’s now officially a Mediterranean restaurant, instead of a vague “bistro.”
The kitchen was on top of its game at lunch the other day, serving a delicate spanakopita (spinach pie) and a huge platter of chicken shawarma.
This location was always known for a good Greek salad and Greek burger, and that hasn’t changed. The prices are closer to $8-$15 now, worth a try.
It’s BYOB; open for lunch and dinner daily except Mondays at 7355 N. Beach St. at Basswood Boulevard, 817-232-1155, www.facebook.com/pages/Casablanca-Medi-Cuisine/190269711161720.
