An Austin restaurant known for handmade biscuits and “upscale comfort food” plans a location in Fort Worth.
Fixe, which serves buttermilk-battered fried chicken, lobster-crawfish pot pie and biscuits with cane-syrup butter, has leased a Fort Worth location, chef-owner Adam Puskorius told the website CultureMap Houston last week.
A lease plan for the Shops at Clearfork obtained by the Star-Telegram showed Fixe along with other such restaurants as B&B Butchers & Restaurant of Houston, Doc B’s Fresh Kitchen and Dallas soufflé restaurant Rise n°1.
Puskorius is a former Chicago chef for the Florida-owned Eddie V’s restaurants. The Fixe team has included James Robert, another Eddie V’s alumnus.
Never miss a local story.
The current Fixe, 500 W. Fifth St., Austin, has been singled out by the Austin American-Statesman for fried chicken, fried catfish and deviled eggs.
