Disney Interactive announced the arrival of Story, an app targeted to parents, especially moms.
The new app, which goes live this week, is designed to take content from an iPhone and organize photos and videos into a shareable story. For example, a baby's first steps or your child's graduation.
How does it work? The app will automatically find images/videos on your camera roll based on where and when your photos were captured. From these collections, you can build stories, write captions, pages of text and use themes and layouts.
Once your story is built, it can be shared via email, Facebook or on the web at Story.us. Stories will also be able to be embedded in websites or blogs. All stories created are saved on the app and backed up on iCloud.
Sounds like an automated iPhone scrapbook, right?
There has been no announcement on whether an Android version will be made available.
Disney will introduce the app at the Disney Social Media Moms Conference this week at Walt Disney World in Orlando.
The announcement follows a slew of Disney Interactive initiatives including new games, web video series and web destinations that were touted to media last week.
