Friday Freebies: Free egg hunts in DFW

Here are some other ways to get your bunny hop on in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

Many egg hunts were rained out last week so here are some other ways to get your bunny hop on in the Dallas-Fort Worth area:

Stockyards Easter Egg Hunt: The Easter Egg Hunt will be held on the lawns of the Historic Livestock Exchange Building and Stockyards Visitors Center. Activities include pictures with the Easter Bunny (bring your own camera), face painting, balloons and more. The egg hunt for all ages begins at noon sharp.
Good to know: Immediately following the egg hunt, Stockyards Stables will host the Hunt for the Golden Horseshoe in the arena. This event is for children ages 12 and older. For more information, visit .

Easter Egg'stravaganza: Kids can enjoy a variety of activities including bounce house, arts and crafts and a magic show before egg hunting begins at 11:30 a.m. in Quakertown Park. The park will be divided by age groups for the egg hunt, and signs will guide participants to the designated areas.
Good to know: If you have kids of different ages, please be aware that they will be in different areas of the park during the egg hunt (you might want to bring extra adult supervision). Inexpensive concessions will be available. Prior to the egg hunt, the park will be closed for set-up.
Recommended ages: 12 and younger

Bass Pro Shops Free Easter Fun: Kids can participate in a craft project and families can also get a free 4x6 photo with the Easter Bunny. There will also be egg hunts on Saturday and Sunday.
Good to know: Registration for the Eater egg hunts begins at 12:30 p.m. at the main entrance of the store. The hunt begins promptly at 1 p.m. and will end at 2 p.m. Find five eggs and return to registration for candy.

Grand Prairie Egg-Stravaganza Egg Hunt: Children will hunt for thousands of eggs and prizes. Kids will be divided into three age groups in three different hunt fields. Activities include the Easter Bunny, Easter arts and crafts and bounce houses.
Good to know: Free admission to Lynn Creek Park with proof of city residence, or $10 per carload.

NOT FREE, BUT GOOD: Bricks & Bunnies at Legoland Discovery Center:  Activities include a festive egg hunt throughout the attraction with fun prizes as well as Easter-themed model builder workshops. Easter egg hunts will begin at 10 a.m. with model builder workshops held from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Good to know: Don't miss the new LEGO LEGENDS OF CHIMA 4D movie, which is free with admission.
