These pre-Easter activities will get your family ready for the big day. Here's this week's list:

Texas-Sized Easter Celebration & Egg Hunt: Hop on down with the family to the Fort Worth Stockyards. An egg hunt for all ages is scheduled to begin right at noon, and, of course, the Easter bunny will be there. Additional activities include face painting and balloons.
Good to know: The Easter Egg Hunt will be held on the lawns of the Historic Livestock Exchange Building and Stockyards Visitors Center.
Good to know: Don't miss the cattle drive at 4 p.m.
Recommended ages: 12 and younger
When:  Noon to 4 p.m., Saturday, April 7

Easter Eggstravaganza: Kids can enjoy a variety of activities including bounce house, arts and crafts and a magic show before egg hunting begins at 11 a.m. in Quakertown Park. The park will be divided by age groups for the egg hunt, and signs will guide participants to the designated areas.
Good to know: Inexpensive concessions will be available. Prior to the egg hunt, the park will be closed for set-up. The Easter Bunny will be available for families to take their own photos. Cost is $2 per picture.

World’s Largest Easter Egg Hunt:  Last year, about 4,000 children attended the “eggstravaganza.”  Creative communicators will share the story of Easter with the children. Bounce houses and games of all kinds cover the field.
Good to know: You can help by donating plastic eggs and individually wrapped bags of candy. Call 817-277-6620.

When: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, April 7
Where: Lockwood Center, southeast corner of Fielder Road and Pioneer Parkway (303), Arlington
Cost: FREE!

Arbor Day in Westlake: Fun-filled family activities including fishing derby, barnyard races, cake walk, live entertainment and tree education.
Good to know: It's free, but bring money for food and raffle tickets. Raffle tickets will be sold for a chance to win an iPad 2 or Sony Playstation Vita.

When: 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., Saturday, April 7
Where: Glenwyck Farms Park, 1601 Fair Oaks Drive, Westlake.
Cost: FREE!

EarthFest 2012: Celebrate nature with your family. Activities include walks, bird watching, kayaking, wildlife demos and kite flying.
Good to know: There wil be egg hunts at 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.

When: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, April 7
Where: Connemara Meadow Preserve, 300 Tatum Road (Tatum Road and Alma), Allen, Texas
Cost: Free
