On Monday, we celebrate the life a great humanitarian. Here are some Dallas/Fort Worth area events to honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s legacy: 

All Western Stock Show Parade: You may think this is an odd first pick to honor Dr. King's life, but what better way to celebrate his mission then to learn about different cultures including the Cowboy Culture. Cowboys and cowgirls will whoop it up in downtown Cowtown, which is expected to draw upwards of 100,000 spectators.
Good to know: This parade is the kick-off for the Fort Worth Stock Show, which will host the Fort Worth Cowboys of Color Invitational Rodeo at 2 p.m. on MLK Day, Monday, Jan. 16 at Will Rogers Coliseum. Where: The parade starts in front of the Tarrant County Courthouse, heads south on Main Street, west on 9th Street and north on Houston Street and ends back at the courthouse at 100 West Weatherford St., Fort Worth, TX 76102

Martin Luther King Jr. Parade: Celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. as participants march from Dallas City Hall to Fair Park.

Sharing the Dream Multicultural Festival: Follow Dr. King’s footsteps and his travels to the seven continents of the world.

Martin Luther King Jr. Parade: The annual Martin Luther King Jr. Birthday Celebration Parade/March/Rally will feature walking units, marching bands, floats and decorated vehicles. 
Good to know: memorial tribute will be held at the plaza area following the parade.

When: 11 a.m., Monday January 16
Where: From 9th and Main Streets, marchers will head north on Main Street to 1st Street, head westbound on 1st to Houston Street, go southbound on Houston and end at Houston and the Fort Worth Convention Center Water Gardens Plaza.

Elite News MLK Parade and Festival: The 26th-annual event kicks off with a parade and includes booths, health fair, live entertainment and a Kids Zone.
Good to know: Admission is free, parking is $10

Sharing the Dream Youth Musical Extravaganza: Musical tributes, performances and more! Emcee will be FOX 4's Dionne Anglin.
