Details: Gnismer planted 2 acres of orange and white pumpkins of all sizes, which visitors can pick. Other seasonal vegetables also will be available for purchase. Credit cards accepted.

Homestead Farms

Details: This working farm will offer pumpkins grown in North and East Texas, as well as $1 hayrides. Goats, chicken and turkey will be on site. Credit cards accepted.

Flower Mound Pumpkin Patch

Details: Visitors can ride a pumpkin patch train, jump in a bounce house or take a spin on a hayride. Admission and all activities are free, but parking costs $5. Visa and MasterCard accepted.

Pumpkin Village Pumpkin Patch

Details: Patch offers hay rides, pony rides, a barrel train, carousel swing and punkin chunkin. Admission and parking are free, but some activities cost money.

Pumpkin Patch at Big Tex Stone

Pumpkin Patch at First Christian Church Arlington

Details: Pumpkins already gathered from a field range from 50 cents to $30, and stations around the patch offer fun photo opportunities. A fall festival is scheduled for Oct. 27. Cash or check only.

Hall’s Pumpkin Farm

Details: This cattle farm planted a quarter-acre of pie pumpkins, and thousands of other varieties are shipped in from West Texas and New Mexico. Hayrides are $2, and entrance to the corn maze is $5. Cash or check only.
