ARLINGTON -- A 21-year-old Arlington man has been arrested in connection with the Friday death of a 10-month-old girl.
Kaylee Miller, who was born Feb. 22, 2011, died at 10:24 p.m. Friday. The Tarrant County medical examiner listed the cause of death as "blunt trauma of head and brain due to assault."
Austin Harris Crawford, who is described by authorities as the boyfriend of Kaylee's mother, was in the Arlington Jail on Sunday night. He was charged with injury to a child. His bail was set at $500,000.
Authorities began investigating the case after a neighbor in the 1600 block of Connally Terrace called 911, said Tiara Richard, an Arlington police spokeswoman. The child was found to be unresponsive and was taken by ambulance to Medical Center of Arlington. She was later taken to Cook Children's Medical Center in Fort Worth, where she died from head injuries.

Richard said details about the assault and the circumstances surrounding it were not available Sunday.
The police report states that investigators discovered drug paraphernalia and marijuana at the house. Those items, along with a rifle, shotgun and ammunition, were seized as evidence.
