Group: Get You in Shape Boot Camps of Coppell
Type of workout: Cardio, flexibility and strength building.
Who's in the group: Young adults to seniors, both men and women.
How often it's offered: Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, six times per day and two times on Saturdays each month.
What it does: It's a full-body workout designed to increase overall fitness, build strength and burn calories. The workouts vary each day but are tailored to fit each individual's goals.
Why they do it: It's the people who make the difference and provide tons of motivation, said Lori Burge, who was voted client of the year by her fellow boot-campers. "I've never felt self-conscious or embarrassed -- even when I was constantly the last one to finish running my mile," she said. "I've also made some really good friends, and we always have lots of laughs between our burpees and star jumps."
