Baby, it's cold outside. This morning’s temperature at DFW Airport dipped to 31 degrees – the first freeze of the season.
"We've hit freezing at Denton, McKinney and in Fort Worth previously but for the official DFW site, this is the first time we've hit freezing this season," said meteorologist Jesse Moore.
Moore said the temperature could still drop a degree before beginning its climb to today's forecast high of near 56 degrees.
And you might not want to take the plants back outside quite yet.
Never miss a local story.
"We'll be probably just a little above freezing Monday night, then we'll be near freezing tomorrow night," Moore said.
The rest of the week, however, should bring lows in the upper 30s and lower 40s, he said.
"We'll have a chance of rain coming back into the forecast late Thursday night and continuing into the weekend," Moore said.
Lows will probably be in the upper 30s, with highs only in the upper 40s Friday and the lower 50s Saturday and Sunday.
So if we get rain, it will be a cold rain.
"On average, the first freeze at DFW Airport usually occurs on November 22nd," Moore said. “We've had a freeze as early as October 22 and as late as April 13," Moore said. "This is probably pretty near normal."
On Cyber Monday, it might not be a bad idea to start the day inside and surf the web for deals.
It should be sunny later.
