Family members can experience authentic, old-fashioned frontier harvest activities at Log Cabin Village's afternoon fall festival on Saturday.
Where else can you and the kids grind your own grain by hand, press tortillas, bob for apples or thresh wheat and shuck corn?
Bring your own carved or painted pumpkins and enter the best design contest. Judging is at 3 p.m.
The Buttermilk Junction Old Time String Band will provide live music throughout the afternoon.
Several guests will also be featured, such as a local silversmith, a cooper (barrel maker), and members of the Greater Fort Worth Herb Society and Embroiderers' Guild of America.
For an optional craft fee, you can make a corn-husk doll and/or a copper bracelet to take home.
