Arlington police continue to search for the driver of a truck that struck and killed a 15-year-old girl as she walked across a south Arlington street April 18.
Jennifer Herring was hit while crossing the street in the 3000 block of South Cooper just after 9 p.m. She died at an area hospital later that night.
Video cameras in the area appear to show a dark blue or green truck leaving the scene as well as witnesses in the area who might have information in the case, Arlington police said in a news release.
The driver is not believed to be at fault for the accident because Herring did not cross at a designated crosswalk. But the driver did not stop to offer assistance after hitting her, the release states.
The driver of the truck and any witnesses are encouraged to call Arlington police at (817)459-5700.
