What became of Spring?
Forecasters say those cool temperatures that covered North Texas Sunday will be around awhile along with cloudy skies.
The high temperature was a mere 51 at Dallas/Fort Worth Airport on Sunday.
Never miss a local story.
And along with those brisk temperatures, rain chances will continue at least until Tuesday. On that day, there's a 40 percent chance of rain.
"We had a cool front come through and the clouds stayed around, keeping the temperatures down," said meteorologist Eric Martello of the National Weather Service office in Fort Worth.
Clouds should go away Monday afternoon when temperatures climb into the low 60s. High temperatures Tuesday through Thursday also will be in the 60s.
Weekday mornings could be chilly. Forecasters say we could see temperatures in the 40s and 50s until Thursday.
"It's just topsy-turvy weather," Martello said of the cool temperatures that followed temperatures in the 80s last week. "But furnace temperatures will be here soon."
The weather service is calling for temperatures to climb back into the 80s on Friday and the weekend.
