Arlington police are investigating the death of a mother and her infant son on Sunday night as a homicide.
The two were found during a fire at the President's Corner Apartments in the 2200 block of President's Corner Drive, according to an Arlington Police Department news release. The fire was reported about 10:15 p.m.
An unidentified woman was pulled out of the fire and later died, while her infant son was later discovered in the apartment, the release states.
The fire appears to have started in the child's bedroom, but fire investigators have not completed their investigation, Arlington Fire Department Assistant Chief Alan Kassen said.

Two apartment units were damaged in the blaze, Kassan said.
An autopsy will be conducted by the Tarrant County medical examiner to determine the cause of death, the release states.
