Nothing says "spring break" like flying a kite. And if you want to make the most of your flying time, check out Saturday's Kite Festival at River Legacy Parks in Arlington.
The festival, organized by the Arlington Parks and Recreation Department, is designed for the whole family. You can learn about kite-building and watch stunt-kite demonstrations. At noon, there'll be contests for kites of all shapes and sizes, with prizes for the most unusual, the highest-flying and more. There'll be plenty of other entertainment, too, including face-painting and a bounce house.
