Last Saturday several lovely mom bloggers from Dallas, San Antonio, Houston and Austin gathered to celebrate the launch of Dr. Smith's diaper ointment at The Ritz-Carlton Fearing's restaurant in Dallas with special guest, former Miss USA, Ali Landry. While it was rainy and humid, indoors it was a wonderful brunch experience with moms talking about what moms end up always talking about - their kids.
While Dr. Smith's diaper ointment has been a highly respected family-owned, Texas-based brand for around 20 years, the trusted product just launched at Walgreens across the U.S., so it was time for a celebration.
The group of about 40 VIP top bloggers and Dr. Smith's partners enjoyed delicious upscale breakfast treats and a mimosa (or three) for a mid-morning of munching and mingling at Fearing's, which never hurts my feelings to spend a few hours on a rainy day.
The moms also spent the morning speaking with Landry, model, actress, former pageant winner, and eight-week post-partum mom. While she was amazingly beautiful (and her waistline is the size of my THIGH), she actually was just like all us other mamas; sleep-deprived, working to be the best mom she can be and always looking to find the best products for her children - especially, a diaper cream that works when you have a newborn baby. And just like a group of social-media mamas would do - she even shared an app she loved and conducted an improptu Hang With live broadcast from the event.
Wearing a BCBG dress and a pair of knockout heels, Landry spent time with each of the women and even brought her precious son for a sweet peek at his beautiful face. After noshing on french toast bites, miniature breakfast corndogs and fruit k-bobs like only Fearing's could make, toasted to the organization's future growth, and went home with a complete Dr. Smith's diaper ointment package, complete with a cookie (of course that no mom probably got to taste because they brought them home to their own kids.
Right now the company is also offering a $2-off coupon on their Facebook site to use at local pharmacies like Walgreens. Visit the Dr. Smith's Official Facebook page to download yours now.
