Another week, another round of NFL games. Though, this week, there is a definite consensus among the picks.
Well, in most cases ...
Buccaneers at Broncos (-3.5)
Seth Schrock: Brian Griese returns for the first time to the city where his journeyman career began. How will the Denver fans treat him? My guess: Overwhelming indifference. Mike Shanahan once compared Griese to Joe Montana. Lately, he’s been more like Joe Sixpack — make that Sixpick — throwing three interceptions in each of his last two games. The pick: Broncos 34, Buccaneers 24.
Keeli Garza: Buccaneers 17, Broncos 14
Scooter Hendon: Broncos 21, Buccaneers 14
Scott McCoy: Broncos 28, Buccaneers 10
David Thomas: Broncos 27, Buccaneers 23
Vikings at Saints (-3.5)
Scooter Hendon: The Saints are better than 2-2, and I just have no hope in the Vikings. Brees goes nuts and my opponent destroys me in fantasy football. The pick: Saints 27, Vikings 19.
Keeli Garza: Vikings 21, Saints 20
Seth Schrock: Saints 31, Vikings 24
Scott McCoy: Saints 24, Vikings 21
David Thomas: Saints 24, Vikings 20
Cincinnati at Dallas (-16.5)
Scott McCoy: Chad Johnson/Ocho Cinco says he will kiss the star at Texas Stadium after scoring a touchdown this week. That’s an awful big boast for a player with one touchdown in four games. George Teague won’t be needed this week. The pick: Cowboys 31, Bengals 10.
Keeli Garza: Cowboys 41, Bengals 24
Scooter Hendon: Cowboys 35, Bengals 21
Seth Schrock: Cowboys 28, Bengals 13
David Thomas: Cowboys 37, Bengals 17
Buffalo Bills at Arizona Cardinals (-1)
David Thomas: High-flying and likely to mess up at any moment, the Cardinals’ offense is like a mid-level trapeze act you just can’t afford to look away from for even a split second. The pick: Cardinals 27-25.
Keeli Garza: Cardinals 21, Bills 10
Scooter Hendon: Bills 41, Cardinals 36
Scott McCoy: Cardinals 21, Bills 10
Seth Schrock: Bills 23, Cardinals 21
Redskins at Eagles (-6.5)
Keeli Garza: A loss by Philadelphia could eliminate their playoff hopes for this season. OK, maybe that's a little strong, but it would put the Eagles at 2-3 and 0-2 in the division. Are the Eagles the worst team in the NFC East? No way. The pick: Eagles 35, Redskins 17.
Scooter Hendon: Eagles 18, Redskins 10
Scott McCoy: Eagles 20, Redskins 14
Seth Schrock: Eagles 27, Redskins 24
David Thomas: Eagles 24, Redskins 17
