A Fort Worth Fire Department dive team is looking for an unidentified man they think may have drowned in Lake Worth.
A witness told rescuers that the man took off his clothes, walked into the lake and didn't resurface, said Lt. Kent Worley, a fire department spokesman.
The call came in to the Fort Worth Police Department at about 4:20 p.m., according to dispatch call logs.
Worley said the man was apparently homeless and well-known by officials in the area.
Dive teams were still on the scene about 6 p.m. Thursday and rescuers were searching the area with at least two boats, focusing on the area near Casino Beach Park south of the Highway 199 bridge.
