Police on Monday were investigating what they believed was the fatal shooting of 25-year-old man late Sunday in northwest Fort Worth.
The victim was Adam Spakowski of Fort Worth, according to the Tarrant County medical examiner's office.
Officers were called at 11:20 p.m. to the 2400 block of Grayson Avenue and found a man on the roadway with what appeared to be a gunshot wound to the chest, said Lt. Paul Henderson, police spokesman.
Spakowski was taken to Harris Methodist Fort Worth Hospital where he was later pronounced dead, Henderson said.

Robbery appears to be a motive, although other details were sketchy, Henderson said.
"Homicide detectives," he added, "are attempting to gather information and locate any possible witnesses."
