A second man has been arrested in connection with Sunday’s shooting at a birthday party that left a grandmother and her granddaughter dead.
Garfield Willis Thompson, 20, turned himself in on unrelated warrants after learning that Fort Worth police were looking for him in connection with the shootings.
After being questioned by homicide detectives, police are now seeking capital murder charges against Thompson. He remains in jail with bail set at $1 million.
"We were able to obtain evidence linking Thompson to Sunday’s shooting," said Lt. Paul Henderson said. "We believe he was driving the getaway car."

Another man, 21-year-old Erick Daniel "Truman" Davila, was arrested on Tuesday on capital murder warrants in connection with the case.
