WATAUGA — A 48-year-old Euless man is in Watauga police custody after being arrested for allegedly soliciting sex online from a young girl.
Robert Edward Bullwinkle was being held on $75,000 bail, according to a police news release.
A Watauga detective, posing as a girl under 14, was contacted in an internet chat room by Bullwinkle, who repeatedly asked for sex, police said.
After obtaining a warrant, Bullwinkle was arrested Wednesday at his home in Euless.
Online solicitation of a minor under 14 is a second-degree felony punishable by 20 years in prison and a $10,000 fine.
Bullwinkle has no criminal history in Tarrant County, according to court records, and does not appear in the state’s sex offender registry.
