Think your child has what it takes to be a Broadway star? Then here's your chance to help them get a foot in the showbiz door.
The Tony-nominated musical "Waitress" is currently looking to cast four young girls from the DFW area to perform the role of Lulu during its upcoming North Texas engagements. Performances will take place at the Music Hall at Fair Park on March 28-April 8 and at Bass Hall on June 19-24.
The official casting notice describes the character of Lulu as a sweet and carefree 4- to 5-year-old who appears in the production’s finale scene. To audition, your child must be shorter than 4 feet 2 inches and be no older than 5 years and three months. Individual applicants are welcome, as are sets of twins or siblings.
Auditions will take place Feb. 20 in Dallas at the Music Hall at Fair Park from 9:30 a.m.-noon and 1-3:30 p.m. During the audition, each child will be required to recite a line from the show. While prior acting experience is not required, parents are encouraged to bring a current head shot and resume for each child if available.
