Dallas Mavericks salute their history with tribute to American flag
The Dallas Mavericks played a nearly two-minute video paying tribute to the American flag and milestone moments in franchise history before the national anthem was sung for the season opener Wednesday night at American Airlines Center.
Legacy defensive end Taurean Carter and the rest of the Broncos defense came up big, bottling up Frisco Lone Star in a 24-20 win in their Class 5A Division II quarterfinal. Lone Star had averaged 42 points per game.
A Fort Worth woman who said she was in the Sears store Friday shared a video she shot with the Star-Telegram showing flames shooting up from the floor and a store employee using a fire extinguisher to douse them.
