Indulge celebrated its ninth anniversary with a party called Party to the Nines at Del Friscos Double Eagle Steakhouse in Fort Worth on Nov. 12. More than 200 guests were treated to complimentary hors doeuvres and cocktails by Hendricks Gin, Reyka Vodka and Balvenie Scotch.
Wine, Women & Shoes, benefiting Communities in Schools of Greater Tarrant County, took place Oct. 16 at Ridglea Country Club. Hosted by reality TV star Courtney Kerr, the event featured wine tastings, auctions, shopping and a fashion show starring 12 local celebrity models, including Fort Worth Mayor Betsy Price.
The Hearts & Hope Gala, benefiting the Community Enrichment Center, took place Oct. 23 at the Hilton Southlake Town Square. The evening kicked off with a reception on the hotel veranda, followed by dinner inside. Dallas Cowboys Executive Vice President Charlotte Jones Anderson was the featured speaker.
The Botanical Research Institute of Texas hosted its annual Fête du Vin dinner and auction on Oct. 4 at The Fort Worth Club. The evening included dinner, wine pairings and an auction, and honored the LangeTwins Family Winery and Vineyards with the International Award of Excellence in Sustainable Winegrowing.
Schola Cantorum of Texas hosted its Boots & Beethoven Gala at the North Richland Hills Event Centre on Oct. 25. The choruss annual fundraiser included dinner, musical entertainment, and live and silent auctions.
The Fort Worth Operas annual Opera Ball took place Sept. 13 at the Omni Fort Worth Hotel. The event, themed Galactic Gala, treated guests to an evening that included sci-fi decor, Star Wars-themed cupcakes by Sugar Biscuit Cakery and a lightsaber duel between Darth Vader and Luke Skywalker. Silent auction items included a private dinner prepared by chef Hailey Samis, a Lego version of the Death Star and other sci-fi memorabilia.
The Tarrant County chapter of the American Cancer Society hosted an afternoon of High Tea and Conversation with Patrick Jephson on Sept. 14 at the Piazza in the Village in Colleyville. Jephson, who served as Princess Dianas private secretary until her death, shared stories about his time with the princess and the royal family. Guests at the event dined on a British-themed menu of gourmet finger sandwiches, scones with clotted cream and tea. A special raffle of items from England was held.
The Make-A-Wish Foundation hosted its annual Delicious Wishes event Sept. 18 at the Heart of the Ranch at Clearfork. The special evening, which honored local Make-a-Wish families, included a sampling of foods from Fort Worths top chefs and restaurants, live entertainment by country singer Kristi Kalyn and live and silent auctions.
The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Fort Worth hosted the 14th annual Boxing in the Ballroom on Aug. 22 at the Worthington Renaissance Hotel. The black-tie event included a cocktail hour, steak dinner, auction, raffle and boxing.
First Fridays at the Modern took place Aug. 1 at the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth. Museum patrons were treated to live music by Outer Circles, a special cocktail prepared by Café Modern called the Sizzler, gallery tours and demonstrations by artist Deb Hart in The Modern Shop.
