Sweet as pie

Last week, my daughter and I made a trek to the pumpkin patch. While we wandered around in the dappled sunlight searching for the perfect canvas upon which to carve our masterpiece, I had one thing on my mind: pumpkin pie.

Even the sticky seed-scooping excavation that followed didn't deter me from my pie fantasy (although it did remind me why I prefer using canned pumpkin). It's a little early to start my Thanksgiving baking, so I've had to turn to other means to get my pumpkin fix. This insanely good smelling hand lotion from Desert Essence does the trick.

Pumpkin Hand Repair Cream contains organic pumpkin seed oil, which is packed full of antioxidants and vitamins. I use this stuff daily and it makes my dishwashing weary hands much smoother. Plus it smells all warm and spicy and homey, like I just pulled a pie out of the oven.

Desert Essence Pumpkin Hand Repair Cream, $8.99 for 4 oz.
