I was watching TV this week when I learned that Mother's Day became an offical holiday in 1914. I also learned that the most births by one woman was 69!!! I couldn't believe it, so I researched it online and came across numerous sites that stated the same thing; that she was a Russian woman married to Feodor Vassilyev and she had 27 multiple pregnancys that were resulted in 69 children beinging born, and of those 69; 67 made it past infancy. This is how it breaks down:

16 pairs of twins
7 sets of triplets
4 sets of quadruplets

I also found it interesting that I couldn't find a site that listed her name. Why is her husband noted by name and not her? She needs a medal.
