Man found shot to death at Fort Worth car wash

A security guard noticed the body next to the car in a bay at a car wash on East Berry Street, according to police.

The man found fatally shot Saturday night at an east-side car wash has been identified as Rodney D. Ryan, 39, of Fort Worth.

A security guard driving by the All American Car Wash, 1341 E. Berry St., found Ryan lying next to his running vehicle in a bay at about 8:30 p.m.

Ryan was shot in the chest, homicide Sgt. J.D. Thornton said.

Police responded at 8:38 p.m. to the car wash after the security guard alerted them, a police report stated.

The area is east of Interstate 35W and just west of South Riverside Drive.

Ryan was pronounced dead at 9 p.m., according to the report. The information also stated that there were no witnesses.
