Lone Star International Film Festival screens 'Touching Home’ among others today

Here’s the lineup for today’s Lone Star International Film Festival at the AMC Palace theater and the Four Day Weekend theater in Fort Worth:

Touching Home: Written and directed by twins Logan and Noah Miller (who also star), this drama deals with guys who come to realize that their baseball dreams may never come true. Ed Harris and Brad Dourif co-star. (7 p.m., AMC Palace)

Serious Moonlight: Cheryl Hines (Curb Your Enthusiasm) makes her feature film debut with this comedy about a lawyer and her philandering husband. Meg Ryan and Timothy Hutton star. (7:15 p.m., AMC Palace)

Garbage Dreams: Documentary about Cairo garbage collectors that has been a hit at various festivals. (7:30 p.m., Four Day Weekend theater)

Tender Mercies: Bruce Beresford’s iconic, Oscar-winning 1983 Texas film starring Robert Duvall as a broken-down country singer receives a tribute screening. (8 p.m., The Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth)

Spooner: This romantic comedy stars Matthew Lillard as a down-on-his-luck car salesman who meets the love of his life on the worst day of his life. (9 p.m., AMC Palace)

Easier With Practice: This prize winner at a couple of smaller festivals (Memphis Indie Film Festival, CineVegas International Film Festival) focuses on a novelist’s promotional road trip that takes an odd turn. Brian Geraghty (The Hurt Locker, We Are Marshall) stars. (9:30 p.m., Four Day Weekend theater)

Short Blocks 1: Texas Show: This is a collection of short subjects. (10 p.m., AMC Palace)
