Nashville in Concert at Verizon Theatre at Grand Prairie
The television show “Nashville,” now on the verge of its sixth season, has developed a loyal following for its story lines and its music. When ABC dropped the show in 2016, it was picked up by CMT, and now CMT is sponsoring this tour featuring performers Clare Bowen (pictured), Chris Carmack, Charles Esten, Jonathan Jackson, and Sam Palladio. Songs from the series will be featured, as will original tunes from the performers. If you’re a fan of the series, there’s only one place to be Friday night.
8 p.m. Friday. Verizon Theatre at Grand Prairie, 1001 Performance Place, Grand Prairie. $45-$99.99
Charley Crockett at the Kessler Theater
Never miss a local story.
If you missed Charley Crockett at Lola’s Trailer Park in Fort Worth back in May, here’s your chance to see him again. The rootsy, Dallas-based Crockett, who blends blues, rock, jazz and country into one soulful whole, plays the intimate Kessler Theater in Oak Cliff on Saturday night. No doubt, he’ll be playing tracks from his lauded albums “A Stolen Jewel” and “In the Night,” as well as newer material. Crockett has drawn comparisons to Leon Bridges, Bill Withers and Gary Clark Jr., among others, but definitely has his own musical personality.
8:30 p.m. Saturday. The Kessler, 1230 W. Davis St., Dallas. With Matthew McNeal and Nikki Hill. $18.
