As usual, Friday is a slim-pickin's night, but an ABC special and Battlestar Galactica are among the offerings keeping it from being a total turnoff.
Stuff to watch or record
The Martha Stewart Show: Two days before the actual event, Stewart presents her Mother's Day show. Sure, she doesn't air on weekends, you say. I say she just doesn't believe in procrastination. Noon, KXAS/Channel 5
One Life To Live: Snoop Dogg concludes his two-episode visit to Llanview. 1 p.m., WFAA/Channel 8
TV's All-Time Funniest: If you're ABC, and you want to fill up time on a ratings-challenged night with a two-hour clip show, you could do worse than this: A Paley Center for the Media special in which fans voted for their favorite comedy characters in eight categories, such as Favorite Comedy Father. For Homer Simpson, that category should be a piece of cake (mmmmm ... caaaakkkke ...). 7 p.m., WFAA/Channel 8
Ghost Whisperer: It's Ghost Whisperer, but it sounds like Cold Case when Melinda (Jennifer Love Hewitt) looks into a murder case her long-vanished father prosecuted in 1979. Maybe they'll put 1979 songs on the soundtrack. C'mon, play My Sharona! 7 p.m., KTVT/Channel 11
THS Investigates: Cheerleading:E! True Hollywood Story's more serious-minded spinoff continues a series of investigative specials by giving you the rah-rah-raw details of the dark side of cheerleading. 7 p.m., E!
Think: Musician Josh Alan Friedman drops by Krys Boyd's locally produced talk show to discuss his intriguing-sounding book, Tell the Truth Until They Bleed: Coming Clean in the Dirty World of Blues and Rock 'n' Roll. 7:30 p.m., KERA/Channel 13
Moonlight: Loved last week's episode, which had a sharp paparazzi-are-bigger-bloodsuckers-than-vampires (and sometimes are vampires) theme. Tonight gets a little more personal, as Mick (Alex O'Loughlin) investigates the kidnapping of the grandson of one of his World War II buddies. 8 p.m., KTVT/Channel 11
CMT Crossroads: Having already done American Idol this week, Maroon 5 continues its TV journey by joining Sara Evans on this always entertaining pop-meets-country series. Among the highlights: a cover of the Don Henley-Stevie Nicks classic Leather & Lace. 8 p.m., CMT
Doctor Who: The Doctor (David Tennant) frequently encounters the odd in his intergalactic travels, but this week he encounters the Ood as he and Donna (Catherine Tate) enter the Ood-Sphere. And yes, ood -- er, odd -- things happen there. 8 p.m., Sci-Fi
Numb3rs: Two Three 6 Mafia members guest-star in this week's Numb3rs, performing a song from their upcoming album Last 2 Walk. This show underscores the importance and versatility of math, but the previous sentence looks like part of a plot to drive English teachers, spelling teachers and copy editors crazy. 9 p.m., KTVT/Channel 11
Battlestar Galactica: Last week ended with a mutiny against Starbuck (Katee Sackhoff) in her Earth-seeking mission. This week, Starbuck, as well as President Roslin (Mary McDonnell) find themselves putting their faith in uneasy alliances. And faith and uneasy alliances have a lot to do with what this series is all about. 9 p.m., SCIFI
Reefer Madness: As part of its TCM Underground series, Turner Classic Movies airs this 1936 camp classic about how one puff of "marihuana" can drive you crazy. This is your brain on bad movies .... 1 a.m., TCM
