Singer-songwriter Ben Folds will perform with the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra on Jan. 3 at Bass Hall, the symphony announced Monday.

Folds, a multiplatinum-selling artist and judge on the hit NBC show The Sing-Off, last played with the orchestra at a sold-out Bass Hall concert two years ago. His January appearance is part of “The Ben Folds Orchestral Experience” tour through the United States, the United Kingdom and Australia, and includes the first performances of his new piano concerto. Folds performed with Dallas Pops on April 10.

Tickets, $35-$99, can be purchased by calling 817-665-6000 or online at www.fwsymphony.org. However, they currently are only available with the purchase of a subscription (2015 Festival, 2015 Pops Series or 2015 Symphonic Series). Single tickets will go on sale in August.
