Dallas Bowl rotation

Dallas city leaders said the Dallas Football Classic plans to use teams from the Big Ten to play teams from Conference USA and the Big 12 on a rotating basis.

The first game will pit the seventh-ranked team from the Big 12 against the sixth-ranked team from the Big Ten. Then on New Year’s Day 2012, it will be the Big Ten vs. Conference USA.

Syracuse stunned

Christopher Johnson scored 17 of his 22 points in the second half, including a 3-pointer with 8.3 seconds remaining, and Division II Le Moyne upset Syracuse 82-79 in an exhibition game late Tuesday.

If the shoe fits

A fight over the shoes Michael Jordan’s son will wear at Central Florida has cost the school any future sponsorship with adidas. In an e-mail, adidas spokeswoman Andrea Corso said the school "has chosen not to deliver on their contractual commitment to adidas," prompting the company not to continue its relationship with the school.

Freshman guard Marcus Jordan wore a pair of white Air Jordans during UCF’s exhibition game against Saint Leo on Wednesday night.
