The 3Painters: No, this isn’t a trio of operatic house-painters, but you’re close! It’s performance art in the truest sense, three artists who paint giant canvas portraits in just moments amid a maelstrom of music and movement! They will entertain at the 25th anniversary of An Artists’ Christmas on Nov. 14 at Ridglea Country Club. Besides the frenzy of flying fingers and paint, guests will enjoy some juicy jazz with their gourmet dinner, plus my favorite feature of the event . . . the silent and live art auctions.

More than 3 painters: More than 100 area artists generously contribute their works to the auctions for this annual fundraiser for Camp Fire USA First Texas Council. And to recognize their 25 years of support, event chairs Alyson and Karl Hahnfeld say a $5,000 donation will be given to the Emergency Artist Support League, a group that assists artists financially in times of emergency.

The 3 C’s — Care, Create, Celebrate: This year’s theme certainly sums it up — creative artists celebrating 25 years of concern for children. Fine art gathered for the live auction by art chairs Pamela Summers and Raymond Rains will include pieces from Dennis Blagg, known for his Texas landscapes; Judy Pelt, prominent in pastels; and Natalie Erwin, noted for mixed medium on birch panels. Among the silent-auction offerings, you’ll see works from DennisFarris, Ann Ekstrom, Randy Souders, Nancy Lamb, Amanda Plotnicki, Scott Gentling and Eddie Phillips. Besides paintings, you’ll find jewelry, pottery, glasswork, decorative pieces, furniture and even an African safari.

The 3 Judges: Participating artists’ awards will be given at the 6 p.m. artists reception with judges Pam Campbell from William Campbell Contemporary Art, Jay Downie, director of the Main St. Fort Worth Arts Festival and Terri Thornton, education curator at the Modern Art Museum.

3 More Things: Camp Fire USA First Texas Council will also be celebrating the volunteer chairmen who have been instrumental in raising more than $2.5 million through this event since 1985. So a full house is expected, and you need to contact Maren Gibbs today at 817-831-2111, ext. 167, or Maren@CampFireFW.org to reserve your $200 ticket. For more info plus a complete list of artists, visit www.CampFireFW.org.

3rd Annual Festival of Trees: Kick off the holidays with "A Southern Christmas," a cocktail event that will turn Colonial Country Club into a winter wonderland of decorator trees that will be auctioned off to benefit Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) and other children’s charities supported by the Fort Worth Alumnae of Kappa Alpha Theta. Co-chairs Lauren Pubb and Hiliary Decker, along with honorary chair Barbara Jane Harvey, will welcome you to this holiday cocktail party at 7 p.m. Nov. 13. Before the evening event, children can enjoy the trees and high tea with Santa, 2:30-4 p.m. Party tickets are $150; children’s tea is $12. For tickets, call Lauren Puff at 817-738-7118.
