Keillor reschedules, Cussler sets appearance

Garrison Keillor, who canceled an Oct. 7 Bass Hall appearance due to illness, has rescheduled his night as part of the Star-Telegram author series for 7 p.m. Nov. 30 at Texas Hall on the UT-Arlington campus. The creator of A Prairie Home Companion, who has a new novella, A Christmas Blizzard, will talk with former Star-Telegram books editor Jeff Guinn about the book and his work and will offer tales from fictional Lake Wobegon. There also will be a Q&A session with the audience and a book-signing. Tickets are free but must be reserved in advance. No previous requests for the Oct. 7 event will be honored. Also coming as part of the author series is bestselling thriller writer Clive Cussler, who will appear at 7 p.m. Nov. 23 at Bass Hall. He will talk about his work, including his latest novel, The Wrecker, with Guinn, take questions and sign books. Tickets are free but must be reserved in advance.
