If you want to register your thoughts about qualifications of the new Tarrant County College chancellor, the school has made it easier by creating a Web site for students, faculty and the public to voice their views.

Former Chancellor Leonardo de la Garza, whose tenure was marked by controversy over spiraling construction costs and lack of transparency, stepped down in June. Trustees named longtime TCC administrator Erma Johnson Hadley interim chancellor following his departure.

Since being installed as interim chancellor, Johnson Hadley has been applauded by board members for bringing more openness to the community college. Many view her as a likely candidate to be the next chancellor.

TCC says on its Web site that it is looking for "qualifications, experience, characteristics, and attributes" for its next chancellor and will use the comments to help draw a job description that will be approved at a workshop meeting this month.
