Congratulations to Crowley House Of Hope Clinic

The Clinic celebrated its FIRST BIRTHDAY last weekend with a festive open house. The 45 doctors, nurses and other volunteer staff at the clinic are seeing about 45 uninsured clients (residents of Crowley ISD and zip code 76036) each month. The clinic is open several days a week, including convenient evening hours. In addition to vaccines for children and low cost prescriptions, the clinic offers complete laboratory services. Cleburne High School to host Summer Science Academy

The June 15-19 event is open to incoming freshmen and sophomores at no cost and it will be offered in two sessions: Session I is 8:45 -10:30 a.m. Monday-Thursday and 8-3 p.m. on Friday and Session II is10:30 a.m.-12:15 p.m. Monday-Thursday and 8 a.m.-3 p.m. on Friday.

"This science workshop features a hands-on curriculum," said CHS Principal Monte Pritchett. "It will take place on our campus, utilizing our science wing. The week will also include field trips to Comanche Peak Power Plant and Fossil Rim Wildlife Park."

"We think this is a great opportunity for those students who will be in the ninth and tenth grades next year," Pritchett said. "They will get the chance to participate in some very interesting science experiments and learning experiences, which will reinforce what they have already learned in the classroom as well as introduce them to new concepts."

AARP hosts Indoor Picnic

AARP Chapter # 4055 will meet July 7 at 10:30 a.m. in the Burleson Senior Center, 216 SW Johnson. Come join the fun for the annual "hot dog indoor picnic" and play Bingo.
